2. Hosting and access data

This website is hosted by STRATO. When you access it, technical connection data are transmitted to the hosting provider's servers. Such data may include your IP address, date and time of access, requested file, amount of data transferred, browser and operating system information, and the referring website where provided.

Processing is necessary to deliver the website and ensure its security and reliability. The legal basis is Article 6(1)(f) GDPR; our legitimate interest is the secure and reliable operation of the website. STRATO acts as a hosting service provider under a data processing agreement.

According to STRATO's published information, IP addresses used for detecting and preventing attacks are retained for no longer than seven days. Web server logs available in the customer area cover the last six weeks and contain anonymised IP addresses or hostnames. Actual retention may vary depending on the hosting product.

3. Email enquiries and orders

When you use an email link to contact us or place an order, your own email application opens. No order form data are sent to our web server by the website. We process the information you send, such as your name, contact and delivery details, and order information, to respond to your enquiry and, where relevant, prepare and fulfil a purchase contract.

The legal basis is Article 6(1)(b) GDPR for orders and pre-contractual enquiries, and Article 6(1)(f) GDPR for other correspondence (our legitimate interest in responding to enquiries). Where statutory record-keeping obligations apply, processing is based on Article 6(1)(c) GDPR. Your email provider's privacy terms also apply to transmission.

Information needed to process an order is required to fulfil the contract. Without it, we may be unable to process the order. Other contact details are voluntary.

4. Recipients and retention

Where necessary, personal data may be shared with hosting and email service providers and, for orders, shipping and payment providers and tax advisers. We retain email enquiries only for as long as needed to deal with them. Contractual and accounting records are retained in accordance with applicable statutory retention obligations and then deleted unless another legal basis applies.

We do not intend to transfer personal data outside the European Economic Area through the operation of this static website. External websites linked from this site have their own privacy policies.

5. Cookies, analytics and external links

The supplied website code does not use analytics or tracking services, set cookies itself, or embed external fonts or videos. Links to external services such as YouTube only take you to those websites after you click them; their operators may then process personal data. This does not exclude technically necessary functions provided by the hosting service.

6. Your rights

Subject to applicable legal requirements, you have rights of access (Article 15 GDPR), rectification (Article 16), erasure (Article 17), restriction of processing (Article 18), data portability (Article 20), and objection to processing based on legitimate interests (Article 21). If processing is based on consent, you may withdraw it at any time with future effect.

You may lodge a complaint with a data protection supervisory authority, for example the Data Protection Commissioner of Lower Saxony (www.lfd.niedersachsen.de).
